Exploring three-dimensional edge-based smoothed finite element method based on polyhedral mesh to study elastic mechanics problems

چکیده
This paper established the three-dimensional edge-based smoothed finite element method(ES-FEM) based on polyhedral mesh, divided domain, constructed shape function and derived geometric matrix stiffness matrix. The MATLAB software was used to prepare corresponding computing programs, with which studied stress distribution of a hollow sphere model beam under different numbers elements. compared calculation results from conventional methods(FEM) that use tetrahedral elements hexahedral respectively in terms relative error energy error. comparison show ES-FEM mesh has better precision convergence than FEM adaptability complex structures.
